Face & Neck Lift Surgery
Restore a younger appearance – remove visible signs of ageing on the full face and neck
The most visible signs of ageing often appear on our faces and can affect our mood, confidence and self-esteem. A facelift is a surgical procedure that can target a number of concerns on the face, typically by using a combination of techniques to tighten muscles, remove excess fat/skin, and “re-drape” the facial skin.
Our patients tell us they look and feel 8-12 years younger after they have fully recovered, with results lasting around 10 years!
To achieve the perfect look, people often consider a combined face and neck lift, or opt for a blepharoplasty at the same time. Our Plastic Surgeons & Facial Cosmetic Surgeons can fully discuss all options with you.
Before & After Gallery
Costs & Finance
There are many reasons that a person may consider a facelift with/without a neck lift. Typically people wish to restore the appearance of their face to address the natural ageing process. We see male & female patients of all ages – in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70, 80s!
There are multiple techniques for the facelift – which one is used depends on the desired look you want to achieve.
The facelift and neck lift is able to target multiple areas:
- Forehead area
- Areas surrounding the eyes
- Cheek definition
- Chin/jowl reshaping
- Temple areas
- Facial muscles
- Neck areas
The least invasive surgical option is the MACS (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) facelift, often referred to as a mini-facelift. It uses a “short scar” technique, which creates a fresh, natural appearance. Small incisions are made at the temples and use the existing creases around the ear area. The procedure does not involve a long scar behind the ear – all scars are hidden by the hairline or within the natural creases.
Many patients will choose to include eyelid surgery alongside the facelift in order to fully achieve restore a youthful appearance within the upper, mid and lower face areas.
Your face and body is unique to you. We don’t apply a “one size fits all” approach to facial plastic surgery – you will have your own goals and expectations for a Face Lift, to remove the visible signs of ageing and restore a more youthful appearance.

We offer direct consultations with your chosen surgeon at your very first visit. So you can get quality time with the person who could perform your face lift surgery. The surgeon can examine your face area and assess the issues you have ageing, excess fat, tissue or loose skin.
All of our surgeons are accredited by the General Medical Council in the UK, are members of BAAPS & BAPRAS and have profiles you can view on our website. Offering you experience, safety and the gold standard of care.
During your consultation, which normally last around 20-45 minutes, you can ask as many questions as needed, and hear from the surgeon about the procedure, your recovery, what results can be achieved and any risks that may be involved.
Before any cosmetic surgery can take place, we will invite you to attend a pre-operative assessment in clinic. Here you will meet the nurse who will perform a series of checks to make sure you a medically fit for surgery. We check all patients for MRSA and may conduct some blood/urine tests too. One of the main parts of the pre-operative assessment for a face lift is taking photographs to have a medical record of your face area before surgery.
You will have time to ask as many questions as needed, and the Nurse will be on hand to guide you through your final days before surgery including what to bring, when to arrive and how to prepare on the day.
On the day of surgery, you will attend our own private hospital in Newton-le-Willows. There is free on-site parking and on arrival, once checked-in, you will be greeted by the Nurse who will take you to your room, a beautiful and clean en-suite for your every comfort. The Surgeon will also visit to check you are fit and well and ask for final consent before proceeding to theatre. Once sedated under a general anaesthetic, the surgeon will perform the procedure. When you have recovered from the anaesthetic, you will be taken back to your en-suite room to rest – with regular checks by our Nursing team until you are discharged.
Following surgery, you will not be abandoned! You will be invited to come into clinic and see the Surgeon/Nurse regularly, typically at 1, 2, 6 and 12 weeks after surgery as you need. This allows the Nurse or Surgeon to check your recovery and take further photographs to record the changes in your facial profile.
We have a world-class aftercare programme with unlimited cover post surgery. You can come into clinic as many times as you want, with peace of mind from having 24/7 access to our Nurse for any urgent concerns you may have.
We’re here to make sure you have the best possible results and a comfortable recovery.
How long will it take to recover from a Face Lift?
The recovery time of face lift surgery depends on the technique required. Typically, the MACS Face Lift is much less invasive when compared to a full Face and Neck Lift procedure, hence recovery time can be much shorter.
How long will the results of Face Lift surgery last?
Most patients state that the results of a Face Lift procedure can last around 10 years, but this depends on the elasticity of your skin and your lifestyle: diet, body weight, exposure to sunlight, consumption of alcohol and smoking habits. If you lead a healthy lifestyle, you will likely get the maximum benefit from surgery.
Who will perform my surgery?
You can choose between any of our plastic surgeons who perform facial surgery. We have the following specialists you should consider for a Face Lift here at Pall Mall Cosmetics.
Why Do I Need To Go Private?
The NHS does not commonly carry out a cosmetic Face Lift unless there is an associated and significant distress or pain. For this reason, many women or men choose to have the procedure done at a private healthcare clinic such as Pall Mall Cosmetics. There is no waiting list, and you do not need any referral to have a cosmetic operation performed.
We can ensure your safety at our CQC (care quality commission) regulated hospital in Newton-le-Willows and city centre clinics in Manchester or Liverpool. Our expert facial surgeons mostly come from the NHS, so you get the same quality of surgery, but in a safe, clean and professional private clinical environment.
Our surgeons also strive for excellence, being members of BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic & Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgeons). A clear demonstration of our ability to meet the gold standard of care you would expect from an elite surgical hospital.
Where will I have my surgery?
Cosmetic surgery is performed at our very own hospital in Newton-le-Willows. This is a purpose-built hospital for private procedures that will maintain your privacy and offer you every comfort. Our rooms are en-suite, with air conditioning, free WiFi, television and access to a telephone to make external calls.
